About The Road Less Travlled
The mission of The Road Less Traveled is to explore the often ignored, yet fascinating nooks and crannies of Trinidad and Tobago which serve as repositories of history, culture, tradition and folklore.

Conceptually, The Road Less Travelled is not new; many programmes have, in the past, delved into the communities, culture and characters of the Trinidad and Tobago landscape. But “RLT”, as it is affectionately called, is quite different. One important distinction is the involvement of host Paolo Kernahan who immerses himself wholeheartedly in the quest to understand the origins of our cultural practices, the people who fight to preserve them and the communities that make up this incredibly diverse nation. Paolo isn’t just telling stories in RLT he is living them; pulling seine with fishermen in Mayaro, learning to “buccaneer” meat in the remote village of Cumaca and experiencing his first Amerindian smoke ceremony in Arima.

The RLT crew is a small outfit, comprising host Paolo Kernahan, cameraman Rajnauth Lal and producer Narrisa Mandol. The Road Less Travelled is an ideology of tramping the unbeaten paths of Trinidad and Tobago to bring to viewers a land that will surprise and delight and, most certainly, teach them things that they may not have known about the very place they call home.
